Our Purpose: Help companies become great.
Our Niche: Growth-oriented mid-sized companies with international aspirations and open to the possibilities of transformation.
We are inspired by the philosophies of Jim Collins (author of ‘From Good to Great’), Verne Harnish (author of ‘The Rockefeller Habits’ and ‘Scaling Up’), Gino Wickman (the developer of EOS ®), Dan Sullivan (author of ‘Who Not How’) and Patrick Lencioni (author of ‘The Five Dysfunctions of a Team’).
One of their common themes is that you should consider first the ‘who’. Get the right people on the bus first, and in the right seats. Because with the right people on board, your plans will be better and without the right people, it’s unlikely you’ll get where you want to go anyway. This is why we emphasize Talent Optimization.
Another great read is ‘Play Bigger’ by Al Ramadan, Dave Peterson, Christopher Lochhead, and Kevin Maney. It powerfully makes the point that if you want real greatness, you should go beyond good product design and clever marketing and design a category of your own. It then shares the recipe for how to do that.
While it is easy to point to the big-boys of Netflix and Google to gain inspiration of success, for many a great company is not necessarily going to be in those orders of magnitude. We have been inspired by some customers, some partners and even some businesses that we have researched but not worked with. In the mix are companies like Sports Basement, a retailer in San Francisco who under great leadership has steered the retailer in difficult times to fulfill a very nuanced and difficult niche.
Nuvve have innovated both financially and technically to offer new solutions to the American market that will fundamentally transform the way vehicles are bought and the impact they will have on the environment.
